Steiner Education

The prime focus of Steiner education is to provide a calm and creative learning environment in which children can discover the joy of learning and experience the richness of childhood. This approach allows the physical, emotional, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs of each individual child to be equally nurtured and the themes taught harmonise with the different phases of the child’s development. Steiner education embodies a practical, active and artistic approach to learning.

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) was an Austrian philosopher whose theories on education, based on child development, have been used in Steiner Waldorf schools for almost 100 years. Steiner education is the largest independent learning movement, with over 1,000 schools and 1,600 kindergartens worldwide.
